Once a cherished family estate for nearly a century, Graystones Preserve is now a rare sanctuary of luxury living, setting a new standard for low-density, limited-access communities. With only 73 meticulously selected homesites (12 or 3 acres), every resident enjoys unrivaled privacy, serenity, and exclusive co-ownership of the entire 4,000-acre preserve surrounded by 62,000 acres of protected state forests. Here, nature isn’t just a backdrop; it’s a way of life, enriching your experience every day.
Graystones isn’t just a home; it’s a lifestyle. Beyond your separately deeded homesite, immerse yourself in an extraordinary collection of world-class amenities, all designed to elevate every moment at the preserve:
The expansive southern view from the pool stretches across a beautifully landscaped community lawn seamlessly flowing into the 50,000-square-foot flower and vegetable garden. Unlike typical pool enclosures, our thoughtful design ensures the view remains uninterrupted. Instead of a traditional fence around the pool, we’ve integrated one that encloses the entire pool area, lawn, and garden. This carefully crafted approach preserves the stunning vistas, allowing you to enjoy the full beauty of the landscape while maintaining the privacy and exclusivity you deserve.
Nestled in the heart of Graystones' 4,000-acre preserve, the thoughtfully nurtured organic garden thrives, bursting with color and vitality from late spring through early fall, offering a breathtaking array of flowers and vegetables throughout the growing season. From the first tender spring sprouts to the rich, abundant harvests of autumn, the garden reveals a constantly changing tapestry of natural beauty and seasonal bounty.
We are excited to unveil a remarkable transformation combining timeless charm and contemporary luxury. Overlooking the world-renowned trout stream, this historic building, the “Turnaround Lodge," once the home of an exclusive trout fishing club, is undergoing an exceptional renovation to create a refined space for those seeking a place to mingle, entertain, and relax. Every aspect of this iconic location is being reimagined with a commitment to exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful design, featuring a stunning expansion of the Great Room with a cathedral ceiling, large fireplaces, and a state-of-the-art caterer’s kitchen.
This kitchen and the new Great Room provide the perfect setting for intimate gatherings, elegant weddings, and celebratory events. This space offers a sophisticated backdrop for those who wish to host in style, combining grandeur with modern comforts.
Additionally, two opulently appointed suites (part of a collection of nine exclusive suites on the River Campus) will offer luxurious accommodations for owners and guests. While building on their property is not mandatory, lot owners who choose to do so can enjoy the River Campus suites while overseeing the creation of their homes.
Combining a rejuvenating sauna followed by a cold plunge, often referred to as contrast therapy or thermal cycling, offers several health benefits. This practice alternates between the heat of a sauna and the cold of a plunge, stimulating the body in different ways. Using a sauna followed by a cold plunge is a great way to optimize your physical health, improve circulation, boost immunity, and elevate your mental well-being. It’s a natural, effective way to enhance recovery, promote detoxification, and rejuvenate body and mind. Uncovered by Graystone’s General Manager, John Henry, the Cold Plunge offers a refreshing chill that remains irresistibly cold year-round. Nestled among vibrant indigenous rhododendrons, which reach their full bloom on the Fourth of July, this unique experience invites you to rejuvenate in nature’s most revitalizing embrace. The preserve's Cold Plunge is continuously refreshed, ensuring a crisp, invigorating experience throughout the summer. The water feeding the plunge flows from a pristine, spring-fed source, emerging from deep beneath the preserve’s ancient glacial Boulder Field.
Currently being crafted by the acclaimed Lang Architects in Manhattan, the upcoming River Suites building will offer breathtaking views of the tranquil trout stream that winds through the heart of the preserve. This remarkable new structure will feature six exquisite suites spread across four private units, each with connecting interior doors for an added sense of openness. Inside, each unit is thoughtfully designed with a kitchen, spacious living room, and a wood stove with a striking glass front, complemented by expansive windows that bathe the space in southern light, seamlessly merging the indoors with nature. Situated between the newly renovated Hillside Cottage (interior photos below) and the historic 100-year-old Graystones Inn, this new building promises an unparalleled lodging experience, blending timeless charm with contemporary elegance.
The Fitness Center and Game Room are united in a vibrant, shared space beneath the newly renovated Hillside Cottage. This design allows you to keep an eye on family
members while you enjoy your workout. The Fitness Center boasts a handpicked selection of top-of-the-line cardio and strength equipment, ready to elevate your fitness journey. All brand-new equipment is in storage on the preserve, waiting for the final touches to be completed on the Hillside Cottage renovations this spring. Picture yourself pumping iron, jogging on the treadmill, or using the stair climber, elliptical, or rowing machine - all while immersed in the serene sounds of water cascading over the dam and watching bald eagles swoop down in search of trout.
Graystones Clay Bird and Target Facility offers a diverse, engaging experience in a remote corner of the preserve, far from all homesites.
Shooting clay birds and target shooting offer distinct experiences: clay shooting brings the thrill of hitting fast-moving, airborne targets with a shotgun, demanding quick reflexes and tracking skills, while target shooting focuses on precision with rifles or pistols on static targets, requiring steady aim and technical finesse.
Clay shooting’s dynamic, social nature contrasts with the slower, meditative pace of target shooting, where consistency and mental discipline shine. Environmental factors like wind challenge both, but clay shooting emphasizes reaction to unpredictable trajectories, while target shooting tests fine adjustments and ballistic know-how—each appealing to different blends of instinct and mastery.
At Graystones Preserve, we’re not just creating a community but crafting an oasis where nature and life unite in perfect harmony. Graystones has acquired a 4,000-pound commercial outdoor pizza oven all the way from California for our picturesque preserve. This oven has already become a centerpiece for catered gatherings, placed next to a sprawling grassy area on the River Campus, right beside the tranquil trout stream. Imagine our local caterer, using only the freshest local produce, serving vibrant salads and custom pizzas made to order right on-site, all under the shade of a large white tent. To top it off, local microbrews and refreshing birch beer flow freely on tap, creating a lively and unforgettable atmosphere for every lunch gathering. It’s the perfect setting for good food shared with great company.
Gather your family or closest friends and climb into one of the preserve’s six-seat side-by-side ATVs for an unforgettable adventure to the Community View Circle at sunset. Constructed at the highest point of the 200-acre Open Meadow, the View Circle offers breathtaking panoramic views over the preserve’s trout stream and the mighty Lehigh River, all set against the stunning backdrop of Graystones' western flank. As you watch the sun dip below 20 miles of untouched trees and fields, you'll feel a world away from the bustle of city life. For the ultimate experience, pack your ATV with marshmallows and your favorite refreshments, and let the magic of the moment carry you away.
